To be beautiful means to be yourself. You don’t need to be accepted by others. You need to accept yourself.
— Thich Nhat Hanh

I’m a therapist and clinical social worker committed to helping people feel seen, safe, and whole. My own journey has included deep loss, parenting across cultures, navigating complex systems, learning what it means to live with both grief and gratitude, and an ongoing invitation into deeper connection with myself and others. Over time, I’ve come to see healing as less about fixing something that’s broken and more about reconnecting with what’s still whole and alive within us—and allowing the body, mind, and spirit to move toward connection again.

I came to see that conventional talk therapy can fall short — our bodies hold stories and tension that words or thoughts alone can’t reach. That realization led me to incorporate Somatic Experiencing® and body-based practices that support nervous system regulation, attunement, and reconnection.

I earned my MSW and have worked in child welfare, shelters for the unhoused, and a nonprofit space centered on justice, race, and healing. Growing up in Appalachia shaped my experience about identity, cultural belonging, and how systems shape our lives.

At Becoming + Belonging Therapy, PLLC, I serve adults, teens, and families—offering therapy in person and via telehealth. I strive for cultural humility, body awareness, and relational depth, believing that healing happens in that sacred and transformative space between us.

I’m based in Wilmington, NC, where I live with my family and two small dogs, Gucci and Louie, who remind me every day of presence, routine, and joy.

If you’re feeling disconnected, stuck, or in search of more ease in your body and relationships, I invite you to reach out.
